Mohamed Abdi Warsame

Dr Mohamed is a highly experienced health professional based in Mogadishu who has over 30 years of experience of working in the health sector in Somalia. He is a Technical Advisor on the Somali Health and Nutrition Programme and supports the ongoing analysis of Health Workforce Management, remuneration and top ups, commissioned by DFID. In addition to this he is currently the Deputy Executive Director of the Somalia Red Crescent Society and has experience of working with several international organisations implementing health and nutrition programmes in Somalia. As a consultant, he has extensive experience of facilitating and leading training, conducting research and surveys and evaluating programmes.

Mohamed holds a MSc in Global Health, from the University of Manchester, a Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery from Baresan University in Somalia, a Diploma in Community Health from the African Medical and Research Foundation and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Health Nursing Training Institute in Somalia.
